The Word ‘Muy’ Remains Unchanged

The word ‘muy’ appears in its original form, and does not vary with context. There is no need to modify it according to gender, number, or any other variable.

1. It is very beautiful Es muy lindo
2. I am very tired (Yo) estoy muy cansado
3. Very good Muy bien


The Word ‘Mucho’ is matched to the Noun’s Gender and Number

Unlike the word ‘muy’, the word ‘mucho’ is matched to the noun’s gender and number. Thus, ‘mucho’ has four possible forms, as shown in the table above.

1. Many islands Muchas islas
2. Many people Mucha gente
3. A lot of money Mucho dinero
